Hand Painted Blackfoot Drum
Tony Little Mustache hand crafts all drums using an elk hide and a wood frame. The hide is evenly stretched across and over the frame and laced on it with an intricate weave that also serves as the drum handle. Elk hides are carefully inspected for knife marks that affect the quality and longevity of the drum. The drums can be used as a hand drum or as an art piece. Painted drums have traditional Blackfoot designs and are sized as 12″, 14″, and 16″ diameters.
